Obituary for Frank H. Goodrich

Frank Hinsdale Goodrich, 94, of 140 Melbourne Rd. Pittsfield, Ma. and formerly of 92 Asci Drive died Friday, January 31, 2014 at his home. He has resided at Melbourne Place for the past four years. Born on Nov. 29, 1919 in Pittsfield a son of the late Schuyler W. and Susan G. Marks Goodrich. He attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1937 graduate of Pittsfield High School where he was lettered in Hockey and Tennis. He also was a graduate of the General Electric Co. apprentice course. Mr. Goodrich was employed by the General Electric Co. in Pittsfield from 1939 until 1953 and from 1953 until his retirement on March 31, 1980 in Rome, Georgia, he retired as a draftsman and drafting design computer specialist. He was a former communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and now of Saint Agnes Church in Dalton. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs and a member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society. He enjoyed bird watching. He leaves his wife the former, Katherine V. Street whom he married April 19, 1941 at St. Charles Rectory in Pittsfield. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Schuyler and Charles Goodrich.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for family and close friends will be held Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Agnes Church in Dalton, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will be in the spring at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory may be made to St. Agnes Church or Hospice Care in the Berkshires both in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. 01201 which is handling funeral arrangements.
