Obituary for Frank A. DeAngelis

FRANK ALBERT 'FRAZZ" DeANGELIS, 73, of 57 Adam Street, Pittsfield, died Sunday morning, June 14, at his home.
Born in Pittsfield, February 19, 1936, a son of Joseph and Celia Pignone
DeAngelis, he attended Pittsfield schools.
A Korean War veteran, he served in the United States Air Force from August
1954 to November 1957 and earned the rank of Airman Third Class.
From 1959 into the 1960s, Mr. DeAngelis played softball for the Eagle Caf�,
Berkshire Auto, and Park Jewelers. He also pitched for Country Package in the Dalton Fast Pitch Softball League and pitched in many of the state fast pitch softball tournaments held at Pine Grove Park in Dalton.
Mr. DeAngelis was the owner-operator of several restaurants, including the North Street Luncheonette and Michael's Pizza on Tyler Street.
From 1975 to 1997, he lived in Oakland Park, Florida, and owned Frazz's
Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.
He was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
He was a member of the Italian American Club.
Mr. DeAngelis is survived by a son, Mark Anthony DeAngelis of Albuquerque,
New Mexico; a daughter, Michelle M. DeAngelis Blair of Pittsfield; and a grandson,
Michael; as well as three sisters, Catherine Struzziero of Saugus, Rose Landino of
Tempe, Arizona, and Phyllis Blais of Pittsfield, and nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by six brothers, Salvatore, Tony, Leo Albert, Joseph, and
Michael, and a sister, Mary Blasioli.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for FRANK ALBERT 'FRAZZ' DeANGELIS, who died
Sunday, June 14, will be Monday. June 22, at 1:30 p.m ., at St. Joseph's Cemetery, with
Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., officiating. (Those attending are invited to meet inside
the Cemetery gate at 1:15 p.m.) There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contribu-
tions in memory of Mr. DeAngelis may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in
care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
