Obituary for Francis A. Curro Sr.
Francis A. Curro, 88, died Friday, May 27, 2016.
Born, May 11, 1928, the son of Joseph Curro and Anna Monito Curro, he was a graduate of Pittsfield Central High School.
Mr. Curro worked at The Berkshire Gas Company for 44 years as supervisor of the street department. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, vacations at the sea shore,
and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by his wife of 61 years, Geraldine Roberge Curro, a brother Vincent Curro, and a grandson, Patrick J. Curro. He is survived by his daughter, Susan
Richardson and her husband John of Pittsfield; three sons; Francis Curro Jr and his wife Susan of Pittsfield, Paul Curro and his wife Margaret of Pittsfield, and John
Curro and his wife Marybeth of Dalton; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Michael, David,
Eric, Lisa, Kristin, Katelyn, Meghan, Kevin & Andrew and 6 great grandchildren;
Ella, Noah, Mae, Sam, Jaden and Michael. He is also survived by a brother Joseph Curro and his wife Martha.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mount Carmel Care Facility tor their kind
and caring treatment they provided during his stay.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services tor Francis A. Curro will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at Sacred Heart
Church in Pittsfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM celebrated by the Rev. Michael Bernier, pastor. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Upon his wishes,
there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church in care of the
DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Please visit www.deryfuneralhome.com to leave remembrances and condolences.
