Obituary for Frances A. Dastoli

FRANCES ANN DASTOLI, 90, of The Pines, 1450 North Street, Pittsfield, died
Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield, January 1, 1917, a daughter of Rocco & Mary Sanginetti
Yervasi, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and of the Trapahagen School of
Art in New York City.
Mrs. Dastoli was owner-operator of the former Tiny Towne and Luv Bug clothing
stores for 20 years. Prior to that, she had managed the Van Dyke Photography Studio for
ten years.She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where she was a
member of the Ladies Guild and sang in the choir. She enjoyed water-color and oil painting and working with stained glass. She
also enjoyed cooking and was a Red Sox fan.
Her husband, Joseph F. Dastoli, whom she married May 30, 1939, died November
22, 2000.Mrs. Dastoli is survived by a son, Mark F. Dastoli of Enfield, Connecticut; two
daughters, Carm Donati Ostrikis and Dianne Roach both of Pittsfield; five grandchildren
four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for FRANCES ANN DASTOLI, 90, who died Sunday, October
14, will be Thursday, October 18, at 9:15 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a
Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Church, celebrated by Rev. Peter
A. Gregory, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be
Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Mrs. Dastoli may be made to St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
Mrs. Dastoli is also survived by a son-in-law, Donald Ostrikis, and a daughter-in-
law, Kathy, her grandchildren, Laurie, Deborah, Michael, Jennifer, and George, Jr., her
great grandchildren, Jodi, Sheena, Ashley, Nicole, Matthew, Kevin, and Kayla, and her
great great grandchildren, Robert, Nevaeh, Natalia, Antonio, and Claire Rose. She was
pre-deceased by a grandson, Cory Marc Roach, and a sister, Josephine.
