Obituary for Fate Wright
FATE WRIGHT, 83, formerly of 90 Robbins Avenue, Pittsfield, died Sunday morning at Hillcrest Commons where he had resided since October 2005.
Born in Junction City, Arkansas, April 9, 1923, a son of Fate and Gertrude Allen Brown, he was educated in Junction City schools.
He had served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Wright had, at one time, been employed as a laborer for Petricca Construction
Company.He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His wife, the former Centaroy Glasson, whom he married in the 1940s, died
in l986.Mr. Wright is survived by two daughters, Alice Brown of the State of California,
and Gerry Brown of Los Angeles, California; and a brother, Melvin Brown of
Eldorado, Arkansas.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for FATE WRIGHT, who died Sunday, November 5, will be conducted Thursday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. William D.
Furey, Pastor of Berkshire Union Chapel, officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Arkansas. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Wright may be made to Hillcrest Commons
Activities Fund in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
