Obituary for Evelyn A. White

Miss Evelyn Ann White, 92, of 11 Warren Avenue, Dalton, Ma. died Sunday morning at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield where she had resided for the past 90 days. Born on August 30, 1913 in Dalton, Ma. a daughter of the late Philip T. and Mary Bourque White. She attended schools in Dalton. She was last employed for the General Electric Co. as a wire wrapper for 8 years retiring in 1976. Prior to GE, she had worked at various woolen mills and for Crane & Company. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Miss Evelyn Ann White who died June 4, 2006 will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday morning at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to St. Agnes Church Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home. Miss White is survived by several nieces and nephews and by several grand nieces and nephews.
