Obituary for Emily B. Ranti

EMILY B. RANTI, 90, of 13 Vivian Avenue, Pittsfield, died Thursday, May 8,
at the home of her daughter at 114 Allengate Avenue. Born in Adams, December 25, 1917, a daughter of John and Stefania Kolodziejczyk Pekosz, she was educated in Adams schools.
Mrs. Ranti was employed by General Electric Company where she worked as
an assembler for 42 years retiring in 1978.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She was a
member of the General Electric Quarter Century and Pensioners clubs.
Her former husband, Santo Ranti, pre-deceased her. Mrs. Ranti leaves a daughter, Debra L. Lefebvre, and her partner, Richard Beverly of Pittsfield; two grandchildren, Anthony and his wife, Sara Lefebvre, and Eric Lefebvre; and two great grandchildren, Logan Lefebvre and Hailey Lefebvre. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Helen Sammarco and Jessie Slonski and a brother, Stanley Pekosz.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for EMILY B. RANTI, who died Thursday, May 8,
will be Saturday, May 10, at 9:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, celebrated
by Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Ranti
may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires or to the Berkshire Humane Society both
in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
