Obituary for Emily F. Laframboise

Emily Frances Laframboise, 92, formerly of 21 Orchard Street and of Rose Manor, Pittsfield, died
Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the home of her daughter, Mary Louise Smith, surrounded by her loving
family.
Born in Pittsfield on January 10, 1922, the daughter of Guiseppe and Concetta Raudino DiFilippo,
she was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Laframboise had been employed for eighteen years as a sales clerk at England Brothers Department Store from where she retired in 1985. Years prior to that, she had worked at the Glix Brand Pajama Factory for five years.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.
Mrs. Laframboise had been a member of the Ralph J. Froio Senior Center, the Heart of the Berkshire Grange No. 448 and the Berkshire North Pomona Grange No. 6, the Sons of Italy ITAM Lodge No. 564, and the United Commercial Travelers.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as arts and crafts, doing crossword puzzles, and playing bingo and cards.
Her husband, Theodore J. Laframboise, Sr., whom she married February 7, 1942, in Our Lady
Of Mount Carmel Church, died January 17, 1996.
Mrs. Laframboise is survived by three sons, Joseph A. Laframboise and his wife, Virginia, of
Beavercreek, Ohio, Francis T. Laframboise, Sr., and his wife, Dorothy, of Mulberry, Florida, and Edward J.
Laframboise and his wife, Connie, of Flint, Michigan; two daughters, Mary Louise Smith and her husband, Charles, of Pittsfield, and Theresa L. Laframboise of Chicopee; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Another son, Theodore J. Laframboise, Jr., died November 21, 2001.
She was also pre-deceased by a brother, Samuel DiFilippo and by four sisters, Mary Anello,
Frances Kowallczyk, Angelina DiFilippo, and Rose Sadlowski.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Emily Frances Laframboise will be held Friday, March 28, at 12:15p.m. from
DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Church celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, or the
Berkshire Humane Society, all in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
