Elmer Frankie Green, age 75, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away February 7, 2020 peacefully at home.
He was born in Bennington, VT on December 19, 1944. He is the son of the late Eliza May Mattison and Clarence Martin Green. He leaves behind 8 children, Tawnya Underhill, Jennifer Green, Billijo Zimmerman, Paul LeClair, Margaret Carmon, Lisa Stanley, Rosetta Sherman, Tammy Blake. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as four siblings, Mitzi Dobert of Stamford, VT, Flora Prevost of Malone, NY, Annie Blomberg of Pittsfield, MA and Clarence Green of Dalton.
Elmer was predeceased by his daughter, Stacy Green-Mensah and his wife, that he loved with all his hears and that he his now joined with her, Linda Green. As well as his sister, Etta Rane.
Elmer (Clinker) was a very kind, loving man. He always did the best he could do to make every grandchild and great-grandchild laugh and smile. He had amazing bons with everyone of them. HE cared and loved for every child that came into his life. He always had a special bond that was different for every child.
Elmer was a very strong, independent, determined man. He was always so helpful to everyone. He was a local artist of the Berkshires, building things from matches throughout the years. He built ships, crosses, motorcycles, boots, fishing poles, cowboy boots, churches and many more things out of the matches.
He loved fishing, hunting, drawing, crafting things and especially spending time with his family.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial service for Mr. Green will be held, MONDAY, February 17, 2020 at 1:00pm at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Calling hours will precede the service from 12pm to 1pm.
