Obituary for Elizabeth L. Rheaume

ELIZABETH "BETTY" LOUISE RHEAUME, 60, of 239 Narragansett Avenue,
Pontoosuc Lake, Pittsfield, died at home on Easter Sunday, April 12, surrounded by
her many beloved pets.
Born on February 9, 1949, daughter of the late Omer T. and Betty Louise Jackson
Rheaume, she graduated in 1967 from Mount Greylock Regional High School in
Williamstown. She attended Berkshire Community College, and was a 1974 graduate of the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston with a degree in dental hygiene.
Miss Rheaume was most recently employed by Dr. G. Thomas Mullany, Jr., in Great Barrington for whom she had worked 14 years.
Betty was an extremely beautiful, kind, and sensitive person who had an enormous heart for animals. She loved and cared for many dogs and her house was a shelter for many a stray cat over the years.
She loved to read and crochet while gazing out over Pontoosuc Lake. She had enjoyed her once beautiful flower gardens. She had also enjoyed ballroom dancing. Betty leaves many cousins, niece and nephews who have fond memories of their
childhood visits to her house on the lake. She will be missed by many wonderful friends
and neighbors who reached out to her over the years. She is also survived by her former
husband, Richard Pleau, of Pittsfield.
