Obituary for Elizabeth McDonough

Elizabeth Ann McDonough, 85, formerly of Pittsfield, passed away August 6, 2021 at Craneville Place in Dalton.
Born in Pittsfield on May 24, 1936, she was the daughter of Cliff and Catherine Hiedel.
She was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She married Bernard Gerald McDonough in 1959. He predeceased her on July 8, 2017.
Mrs. McDonough was a sales clerk for many years, having been employed by Berkshire Gas, Big N and K-Mart. She was a communicant of St. Mark Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Bauch of Ludlow, son, Jim McDonough and wife Patricia of Pittsfield, brother David Heidel and wife Grace of Leander, TX and sister Deanna Furman of West Haven, CT. Four grandchildren, Jerry McDonough, Connor McDonough, Alyssa Bauch and Alex Bauch and a brother-in-law, (John) Jack Passier and wife Vicki of Pittsfield.
She was predeceased by a brother, Clifford Heidel.
The family would like to thank the staff at Craneville Place in Dalton for her care and their support during these challenging times.
Funeral Notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. McDonough will be held, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Church, celebrated by Rev. Christopher Fedoryshyn, Pastor. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Burial will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 9 a.m. at Cheshire Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research at www.ALZ.org
