Obituary for Eleanor A. Philippe

ELEANOR A. PHILIPPE, 82, of 11 Deborah Avenue, Sanford, Maine, died
Thursday, November 6, at Goodall Hospital in Sanford. Prior to moving to Maine
twenty-five years ago, she was a longtime resident of Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield, April 28, 1926, the daughter of William J. and Lucy Menard
Schultz, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1944 graduate of St. Joseph
Central High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Philippe had been employed by Berkshire Bank and Trust Company. She had also worked as a bookkeeper for England Brothers and Savino Monuments.
Mrs. Philippe was a former of communicant of St. Charles Church. She was
a collector of dolls, enjoyed gardening, and sewing for her family.
She leaves her husband, Alfred Philippe, whom she married November 12, 1945, in Pittsfield.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Philippe is survived by three sons, David A. Philippe
and his wife, Linda, of Cornish Flats, New Hampshire, James M. Philippe and his wife,
Leslie, of Sanford, Maine, and Robert P. Philippe, of Sanford, Maine; a daughter, Diane
M. Philippe-Gingras and her husband, Thomas Gingras, of Pittsfield; a brother, Edward
Schultz and his wife, Frances of Orlando, Florida; her sister-in-law; Pauline Harris of Pittsfield, six grandchildren, Kim Anhaeuser
and her husband, Michael, Alicia Simino and her husband, Troy, Sean Philippe, James
Philippe and his wife, Jessica, Brian Philippe, and Andre Philippe and his wife, Melissa;
four great grandchildren, Zachary Simino, Jacob Simino, Lauren Anhaeuser, and Derek
Anhaeuser. Mrs. Philippe was pre-deceased by four brothers, Francis Schultaz, William
Schultz, Albert Schultz, and Paul Schultz, and by three sisters, Mary Launt, Ann
Lambert, and Blanche Jandro.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for ELEANOR A. PHILIPPE, who died Thursday,
November 6, will be Wednesday, November 12, at 9:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Church cele-
brated by Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will follow in St.
Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the DERY
FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Philippe may
be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the Funeral Home, 54
Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
