Obituary for Eleanor T. Frazier Mrs.

Mrs. Eleanor T. Frazier, 77, of 243 Robbins Avenue in Pittsfield died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on April 17, 1932 in Housatonic, MA she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Regina Brzostek Demick. A longtime resident of Pittsfield, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1950 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Frazier was a homemaker and had worked at one time at the former England Brothers on North St. In 1954 she was recommended and offered a position with the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington D.C. but turned down the position to stay in Pittsfield and raise her family. She was a communicant of the former Holy Family Church and of St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble and cooking. She leaves her husband, Robert C. Frazier of Pittsfield whom she married on July 29, 1950 at Holy Family Church. Two sons; David A. Frazier and Daniel R. Frazier both of Pittsfield. Three daughters; Janet E. Hubbard and her husband Dennis of Pittsfield, Laura J. Soave of North Adams and Donna M. Eubanks and her husband James of Longwood, FL. She also leaves her seven grandchildren; Marie Eubanks Borasa, Stephen P. Poneck, Shane A. Poneck, James P. Eubanks, Joel R. Eubanks, Chantelle L. Soave and Jonathan A. Hubbard. She also leaves her four great grandchildren; Justin, Shenna and Olivia Poneck and Claira LaBombard. She was predeceased by a son; the late Robert S. Frazier who died April 21, 2005 and by a sister, Josephine Blanchard.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Eleanor T. Frazier, 77, of Pittsfield who died June 19, 2009 will be held Tuesday at 8:15 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Church celebrated by the Rev. Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 PM at the Dery Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
