Obituary for Elaine B. Plumb

Elaine B. Plumb, 88, of Devonshire Estates, Lenox, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at her home.
Born in Pittsfield on June 23, 1924, the daughter of Lester A. and Bertha Deloye
Barker, she was a 1942 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Plumb was a homemaker. From 1942 to 1949, she was employed by General Electric Company as a secretary in the Power Transformer Department.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of P.T.O.
Mrs. Plumb was a people-person who had a fantastic memory and a keen sense of humor. She had a great love of music and a beautiful singing voice. She was famous for her handmade Christmas decorations. She also enjoyed visiting Cape Cod.
She leaves her husband, Arthur L. Plumb, whom she married December 27, 1945.
Mrs. Plumb is also survived by a daughter, Susan E. Bach and her husband, Wolfgang, of Dalton; a son, Ronald A. Plumb and his wife, Jean, of Tigard, Oregon; three grandchildren, Lisa Jarvis and her husband, Brian, Bethany Plumb, and Matthew Plumb, and a great grandson, Dustin Jarvis.
She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Barker.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Elaine B. Plumb will be held Tuesday, February 5, at 2:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Quentin Chin, Interim Pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
