Obituary for Elaine Beatrice Frederick (Arpante)
Elaine Beatrice (Arpante) Frederick, passed away March 20, 2022. Born on July 30, 1940 in Pittsfield, MA to M. Michael and Emma Mazzetti Arpante, she graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1958.
Elaine married Edward (Mike) Frederick on March 2, 1968 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Pittsfield, MA.
She moved to the Boston area with her husband and resided in Wellesley Hills, MA for thirty years. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years until becoming employed with Sun Life Insurance for 15 years. She then left in 1999 to relocate to the Berkshires to the home that she and Mike built in Hinsdale, MA in the early '80s
Elaine had been employed at Price Chopper until her retirement in 2014.
Alongside her husband, she assisted in the day-to-day operation of the Frederick Christmas Tree Farm and enjoyed her many years as an Election Day worker for the Town of Hinsdale.
She is predeceased by her parents M. Michael and Emma Arpante and brother, Michael Arpante.
She is survived by her sister Donna Lagroterria of Lenox, MA; husband Mike of Hinsdale MA., daughter Kathleen Mongillo (Peter) of Hamden, CT., and grandchildren Isabella of Newmarket, NH., and Anthony, Valentina, and Spencer Mongillo of Hamden, CT.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26,2022 at 12:30 p.m. at Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St, Dalton, MA, with Deacon Richard Radzick officiating. There will be an hour of visitation prior from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Hinsdale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
