Obituary for Douglas P. Hamilton
DOUGLAS P. HAMILTON, 61, of 10 Pine Street, Pittsfield, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at
his home.
Born in Brattleboro, Vermont, on June 24, 1952, a son of the late Paul M. and Phyllis D.
Green Hamilton, he was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mr. Hamilton had, at one time, worked at the former Big N Department Store and for
General Electric Company.
He was an avid New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed country and old-time rock-n-roll music.
He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and walking.
Mr. Hamilton is survived by three daughters, Heather Hamilton and her husband, Michael Bolling, of Pittsfield, Anita Hover of Pittsfield, and Wendy Hugabone of Phoenix, Arizona; four brothers,
Richard Hamilton of Richmond, Ohio, Bruce Hamilton of Rockledge, Florida, Paul Hamilton and his wife,
Nancy, of Pittsfield, and Kevin Hamilton and his wife, Bobbi-Jo of Pittsfield; four sisters, Rose Zimmerman of Pittsfield, Dorothy "Dot" Hamilton of Pittsfield, Chris "Tina" Henderek and her husband, Michael, of Pittsfield, and Teresa Hall and her husband, Daniel, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and nine grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, John Hamilton, late of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Douglas P. Hamilton will be held Tuesday, November 19, at 12:00 noon
at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield with Pastor Kaitlyn Miner officiating. Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family
(payable to Heather Hamilton) to assist them with final expenses.
