Obituary for Dorothy "Sis" E. Kickery
Dorothy E. “Sis” Kickery, 89 of Pittsfield, passed away July 18, 2022 at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided for the past two years.
Born in Lee, MA on September 1, 1932, she was the daughter of Roy W. Kickery Sr., and Dorothy Thomas Kickery.
She was educated in Pittsfield Schools.
Miss. Kickery was a spooler at Rice Silk Mill for 48 years.
She was a volunteer at Western MA Labor Action and like to go shopping and watch tv. Sis was a giving and generous person who enjoyed taking care of her entire family.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was the last of her siblings who predeceased her: Elaine Bigelow, Florence A. Hoyt, Barbara Kickery, Roy W. Kickery, Jr., James Kickery, Richard Kickery, Gerald Kickery and Frederick Kickery.
A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 2 p.m. at 248 Wahconah St, Pittsfield. Char Parron will be hosting. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
