Obituary for Dorothy M. Monette

DOROTHY "DOT" MARY MONETTE, 68, formerly of Columbia Arms, Pittsfield, died Sunday, March 1, at Springside of Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield, November 22, 1940, a daughter of Harvey O. and Helen L.
Flynn Kent, she was educated in Pittsfield schools. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Monette worked as a waitress at several local
establishments including The Lantern, The Sugar Bowl and Frankie Martin's.
She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan who also enjoyed computer shopping,
country music and walking. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Monette is survived by two sons, Robert Patrick Kent and his wife, Janet,
of Pittsfield, and Paul Anthony Kent and his wife, Tami, of Indianapolis; a daughter,
Nadine M. Roraback and her husband, James, of Pittsfield; two brothers, Harvey F. Kent
and Allen M. Kent, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Agnes M. Mack of Pittsfield; eight
grandchildren, Adam J. Kent, Austen R. Kent, Jillian D. Kent, Jarod P. Kent, Shane A.
Kent, Richard J. Nelson, Jr., Marley M. Roraback and Karlee R. Roraback.
She was pre-deceased by a sister, Patricia M. Kent, and a granddaughter, Audra Lea Kent.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for DOROTHY 'DOT' MARY MONETTE, who died Sunday,
March 1, will be Wednesday, March 4, at 10:00 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with
Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor of St. Joseph Church, officiating. Entomb-
ment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 3, from 4:00 to7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Monette may be made to Hospice
Care in The Berkshires or to the American Cancer Society both in care of the Funeral
Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
