Obituary for Doris E. Warner

Doris Ethel Warner, 86, of Pittsfield, died Monday February 18, 2014 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Great Barrington on May 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Howard and Katherine Coon Love. She was educated in Great Barrington schools.
Mrs. Warner was employed as a nurse for the Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association for twenty-five years retiring in 2001. She had also worked at Springside Nursing Home for several years. She enjoyed BINGO, baking, spending time with her family, and her two cats: Lucky and Honey.
Mrs. Warner married Paul Ray Warner, Jr. on February 19, 1951; he died on August 10, 2001.
Mrs. Warner is survived by her three daughters: Margaret Plankey and her husband Robert of Dalton, Linda Green and her husband Elmer of Pittsfield, and Elizabeth Sumner of Pittsfield; two sons: Stephen Warner and his wife Pamela of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Patrick Warner, Sr. and his wife Terry of Adams; daughter-in-law: Marilyn Summers of Pittsfield; and many: grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was pre-deceased by two sons: Theodore Warner and Alan Summers; four brothers and two sisters; two granddaughters; and her great-grandson.

FUNERAL NOTICE
Calling hours for Doris Ethel Warner will be held MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield. A memorial service will follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Sigmund Sadzinski officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
