Obituary for Doris M. Burnick

Doris M. Burnick, 88, of 216 Lenox Avenue, Pittsfield, died Thursday,
November 1, 2012, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on February 24, 1924, the daughter of Frank P. and Myrtie
Hamburg Christman, she was a 1942 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Burnick had also worked at A.H. Rice Company
for eighteen years.
Mrs. Burnick was a communicant of St. Charles Church.
She enjoyed puzzles and word games, and doing crafts.
Her first husband, George Burnick, died in an industrial accident at General
Electric in 1953. Her second husband, Thomas J. Burnick, whom she married November 11,
1954, died May 21, 1998.
Mrs. Burnick is survived by a daughter, Sharon L. Burnick, of Pittsfield; a
brother-in-law, James R. Burnick of Pittsfield; three sisters-in-law, Penny Burnick
of Pittsfield, Marita Burnick of Tequesta, Florida, and Marion Christman of Pitts-
field; and many nieces and nephews, several grand nieces and nephews, and cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Doris M. Burnick will be private with burial to be in
St. Joseph's Cemetery. At her request, there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Mrs. Burnick may be made to St. Charles Church Memorial Fund or to the American Heart Association, both in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
