Obituary for Donalda Skowronski

Pittsfield -- Skowronski, Donalda A. (Rostkowski), formerly of 326 Highland Avenue, Pittsfield, passed away August 22, 2016, at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, 12 days after her 86th birthday. A lifetime Pittsfield resident, she was born August 10, 1930, to the late Julian and Julia (Wawrzyk) Rostkowski. She was a 1948 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was the beloved wife for more than 64 years of Francis S. Skowronski. Survivors include her son Paul and his spouse, Paul Baker, of Wilmington, MA; her son Brian and his wife Susan of Lyman, ME; and her grandsons Tyler and Lucas Skowronski, also of Lyman, ME. Additional survivors include her nephew Thomas Lis and his wife Louise of Pittsfield, her niece Cynthia Risley and her husband Robert of Chapel Hill, NC, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Helen and Anthony Trapani and sister-in-law Agnes Para, all of Pittsfield, and sister-in-law Henrietta (Mickey) Skowronski of Adams, as well as many nieces and nephews by marriage. She was predeceased be her sisters Fernanda Lis and Gertrude Rostkowski, as well as many brothers/sisters-in-law. FUNERAL NOTICE Calling hours will be MONDAY, AUGUST 29, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Church, 89 Briggs Avenue, Pittsfield with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
