Obituary for Dominic N. Kirchner

DOMINIC NICHOLAS KIRCHNER, 64, of 12 Third Avenue, Pittsfield, died
February 19, 2011, at Berkshire Medical Center after a brief illness
Dominic was born March 23, 1946 in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of
Martin and Gertrude Giguere Kirchner. He graduated from Pittsfield High School and was a United States Navy veteran.
Dominic was employed by General Electric for 20 years retiring due to an injury.
He leaves his wife of 36 years, Lynne Porter Kirchner.
He is survived by two sons and their wives, Dominic N. Kirchner, II (Sarah Madzy) and Michael A. Kirchner (Louise Perusse); his grandsons, Joshua and Daniel;
and also his brother, Jake Kirchner of Pittsfield, and sister, Ann Fay of Baltimore,
Maryland.
Other close family members include his mother-in-law, Marie Ballardini;
brothers-in-law, Charles Walsh, Patrick Walsh, and Kenneth Porter; and a sister-in-law,
Bonnie Callaghan, as well as nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for DOMINIC NICHOLAS KIRCHNER will be held on Friday, February 25, at 9:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Church celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Kirchner may be made to the American Cancer Society or the HospiceCare in The Berkshires both in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
