Obituary for Dolores Powers
Dolores A. Powers passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. She was born in Pittsfield, MA and was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Marietta J. Powers. She was a 1966 graduate of Pittsfield High School and was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield. She was a resident of Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield. Dolores was employed at Schaeffer Eaton for many years and also worked at Sears and JC Penney. She enjoyed traveling to Cape Cod and also loved her many dogs.
She leaves two brothers, her twin Thomas R. (Elizabeth) of Dalton and Joseph B. (Jean) of Harleysville, PA. She also leaves her nieces Shannon King (William), Jessie Lynch (William), Michaela Ozycz (Samuel), Laura Wacker (William), and a nephew Gregory Powers (Dana).
In addition, she leaves her great nieces Isla Grey Lynch and Caroline Wacker along with her great nephews Jeremy King, Mason King, Henry Lynch and Christian Wacker.
The family would like to thank Mary F. Courtney, Esq., Debra Kielman of Courtney, Lee & Hamel and the staff at Hillcrest Commons for their care and devotion to Dolores.
Dery Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Due to the Covid virus Funeral services will be private and there will be no calling hours.
