Obituary for Dolores M. Miske (Myzski) Ford (Howe)
In the late hours (M.T.) of December 3, 2019, (12-04-2018 EST), Dolores Miske Ford, passed into eternity from the Highland Care Center in Salt Lake City, UT, where she had resided for over a month.
Before moving to Utah in January of 2016, she resided at River Run Apartments in Dalton for more than 10 years.
Born in Pittsfield, MA on June 1, 1932, to the late Stanley J. And Josephine (Fortuna) Miske (Myzski), she attended local schools, graduating from PHS in 1950.
She met and married John Ford Jr. in 1955. They were parents of 3 children: Francis (Kathryn) of WI; Kenneth (Doreen) of PA; and Kathleen (Russell) of UT.
Dolores was predeceased by her husband “Jack” in 2006 and a sister, Threse Drexel in 2017.
She is survived by a sister, Judith (Richard) of NY; her 3 children; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Church in Pittsfield on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 9:00am with Msgr. Michael Shershanovich, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) or the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter, in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA
