Obituary for Denise A. Kaley

Denise A. Kaley,46, of 52 Flansburg Ave in Dalton died at home on Friday March 5, 2010 with her family by her side. Born in Pittsfield on February 9,1964 she is the daughter of Richard "Dick" and Mary "Sis" Callahan Kaley. She attended Dalton Schools and was a 1982 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School, she also attended Bridgewater State and BCC, and was a 1992 graduate of the CT Center for Massage Therapy and held a certificate from the Upleader Institute in Cranial Sacral Therapy. She had worked as a Cranial Sacral Therapist since 1992. She has been self employed since 2006. From 2000 to 2005 she had worked for Darghan Physical Therapy in Great Barrington and from 1989 to 1992 she had work at Canyon Ranch as a massage therapist. She enjoyed drawing, art, photography and traveling. She had lived on Cape Cod at one time and had also resided in California and Michigan as well as Lenox and Great Barrington. Besides her parents Dick and Sis of Dalton, she also leaves her twin sister Donna A. Kaley of Pittsfield and two brothers Michael D. Kaley and his wife Renee of Hinsdale and Mark F. Kaley and his wife Nichole of Dalton. Three loving nephews, Denis and Jack Cooney and Timothy Kaley and her three nieces, Chelsea Basiliere, Brody Kaley and Samantha Kaley. Denise was blessed with her extended family of friends and clients who were loving and supportive during her cancer journey.

Funeral Services for Denise A. Kaley,46, who died Friday March 5, 2010 will be held on Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Agnes Church with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 Main st. in Dalton will be held on Monday from 4-7PM. Memorial donations in memory of Denise may be made to the Denise A. Kaley Fund for Berkshire County Women with Cancer to help defray their medical expenses and daily day to day living expenses, in care of the Denise A. Kaley Fund c/o Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation or contact jd@berkshiretaconic.org.
