Obituary for Debra A. Jarck

Debra Ann Jarck, 64, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2022 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on June 5, 1958 to William A. Robair, Jr., and Nazeerah M. Joseph Robair.

She was a 1976 graduate of Taconic High School, as well as a graduate of Berkshire Community College, UMass Amherst, and Russell Sage College, from which she received her Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, ACNP-BC.

Debra married Matthew H. Jarck on March 15, 1986.

She will be remembered for her respected abilities and unwavering dedication to her patients in her role as a nurse practitioner for many years with Berkshire Health Systems, most recently at Hillcrest Commons Nursing Home. Debra’s commitment to her profession has impacted and comforted countless families with her compassion and exceptional clinical skills. In addition, she was a mentor to countless young health professionals.

Debra was a loyal communicant of St. Mark’s Church. She previously served as the Vice Chair of the board of directors of BCArc and was a longtime board member, an organization she served faithfully for more than 30 years. She loved helping others and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Debra is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Matthew H. Jarck of Pittsfield; as well as, son Joseph Jarck and wife Katherine and granddaughters Eleanora and Anna Jarck, of Newton MA. Sister, Marianne Marinaro (Francis) of Pittsfield, Jennifer Martin (Dean) of Pittsfield, Brothers, William A. Robair III, of Pittsfield, Eric J. Robair of Prescott, AZ, Robert J. Robair of Pittsfield, and Curt J. Robair (Laura) of Adams, as well as her mother and father in-law George and Carolyn Jarck, of Clinton, New Jersey, sisters and brothers in-law, Pamela Black (Randolph) of West Orange, NJ., George Jarck (Amy) Charleston, SC, Lisa Sweeney (Kevin) Holland, PA., along with her many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Katherine Hayden Jarck in 2016; and her sister, Tina Marie Robair, sister in-law Linda Robair and her parents.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held, MONDAY, July 25, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark’s Church, concelebrated by Rev. John Salatino, and Rev. Christopher Fedoryshyn, Pastor. Calling hours will be held, SUNDAY, July 24, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Berkshire County ARC in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
