Obituary for David U. Pelkey
DAVID URBAN PELKEY, 64, of River Run, Dalton, died Wednesday afternoon at his home.
Born in Pittsfield, December 29, 1942, a son of James E. and Dorothy Bridge
Pelkey, he was educated in Hinsdale schools, and was a graduate of St. Joseph Central
High School.
He served four years with the United States Navy.
Mr. Pelkey was a self-employed General Contractor for 30 years retiring in
1997.He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Pelkey is survived by two sons, David U. Pelkey, II., of San Diego,
California, and Edward B. Pelkey, of Pittsfield; a brother, Thomas J. Pelkey of Dalton,
and three sisters, Dorothy Coughlin of Fort Myers, Florida, Susan Quail of Nashville,
Tennessee, and Theresa Tatro of Lee.
