Obituary for David Bruce Grady
David Bruce Grady, 77 of Pittsfield, passed away September 17, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on March 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Milton and Wanda Wickowicz Grady. He was a 1964 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mr. Grady was a member of the National Guard for 6 years. He had been employed for 37 years in the test department at General Electric and General Dynamics, from which he retired.
A communicant of St. Joseph Church, he enjoyed fishing, biking, gardening, coffee with his longtime friends, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Grady is survived by his daughter, Kimberley Grady and husband Chris of Pittsfield. Two sons, Michael D. Grady and wife Karen of Pittsfield, and Scott D. Grady of Pittsfield. Five grandchildren, Michaela Grady, Isabelle Grady, Grace Mary Grady, Michael Grady, Jr., and Emily Grady. Former spouse, Michele Simon. Sisters in-law, Carol Grady and Clorinda Grady. Sister in-law, Maryjane Massetti and husband Bob, and brother in-law, James Simon and wife Vicki, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Milton Grady Jr., Robert Grady, and Charles Grady. As well as his son in-law, Michael Sokolowski.
Calling hours will be held, Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions for The Jimmy Fund of Berkshire County may be made payable to Jim Mazzer and mailed to the funeral home.
