Obituary for David W. Dodd

DAVID W. DODD, 61, of 1115 Sandmill Road, Cheshire, died Thursday,May 29.
Born in Dansville, New York, a son of Arthur and Frances Dodd, he was a
graduate of Nunda (New York) High School.
He served in the United States Army during World War II. A career in retail sales, Mr. Dodd first worked for Jamesway in Jamestown, New
York, for ten years. He then worked went to work for Wal-Mart in New Hampshire for
five years. He was most recently employed by T.J. Maxx as manager of its Pittsfield
Store where he worked for five years before retiring in 2003 due to ill health.
He was a sports enthusiast who also enjoyed reading. Mr. Dodd is survived by three brothers, Arthur Dodd, Jr., of England, Edward
Dodd and his wife, Joanne, of Nunda, New York, and Jim Dodd and his wife, Beverly,
of Texas; two sisters, Celia Mehlenbacker and her husband, Ron, of Missouri, and
Sybil Stain of Nunda, New York; and his friends, Paul McMillan and Ron Duda.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for DAVID W. DODD, who died Thursday, May 29, will be
private, with burial to be in Scottsburg, New York. There are no calling hours. In lieu
of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Dodd may be made to Northern Berkshire
Visiting Nurse Association in care of DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, P.O.
Box 445, Cheshire.
