Obituary for David M. DiCarlo

David Michael DiCarlo, 63, of 30 Fourth Avenue, Cheshire, transitioned into passing at his home
on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, with his devoted companion, best friend, Kathy, at his side.
Born in Pittsfield on June 24, 1950, a son of Amitio V. and Ann C. Mattoon DiCarlo, he was
a graduate of Pittsfield schools.
Mr. DiCarlo had a life-long career as a self-employed painter. He spent many years painting
Homes professionally and took great pride in his work and the caring of his supplies.
He so loved nature, whether it be finding old bottles, fishing with brother John, bird-watching,
or bicycling.
His best friend, Glenn Hart, made it all possible for David to continue living at home.
Mr. DiCarlo is survived by his companion and caregiver of ten years, Kathleen M. Hart, with
whom he resided in Cheshire.
He is also survived by twin sons, William D. DiCarlo and his wife, Agata, of Albany, New York,
and Robert D. DiCarlo and his wife, Karin, of Bel Air, Maryland; a daughter, Rebecca L. Jakacky of
Tampa, Florida; four brothers, Donald DiCarlo of Stephentown, New York, Amitio DiCarlo of Richmond,
John DiCarlo of Pittsfield, and William DiCarlo of Pittsfield; two sisters, Carol Paris of Hinsdale and
Josephine Williams of Otis; and five grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Anthony DiCarlo and Thomas DiCarlo.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Calling hours for David Michael DiCarlo will be held (today), Friday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.,
at DERY FUNERAL HOME in PITTSFIELD. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Peter M.
Naranjo, II., Parochial Vicar of Sacred Heart Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires or to the Cheshire Fire Department,
both in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
