Obituary for David W. Danforth

David W. Danforth, age 31, who had struggled with substance dependency for much of his adult life, lost his battle with addiction on October 5, 2016. David is the son of the late Paige Beaudin Clark & Charles F. Danforth of Dalton.
David was born on November 10, 1984 in Pittsfield, MA and grew up in and around Berkshire County. As a child, he participated in the Dalton Youth Football League as well as the Pittsfield Boys & Girls' Club Youth Ice Hockey League. He attended Central Berkshire primary and secondary schools and received his G.E.D. in Springfield, MA. He later enrolled in the HVAC program at Springfield Technical Community College. At the time of his death, he was employed at an electronics recycling facility located in Holyoke, MA. David will be missed by his large immediate and extended family of many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
He is survived by his children, Kiley and Brandon Danforth and their mother Brandy Young of New Lebanon; his sisters Amanda Clark, Olivia Clark and Abigail Danforth, of Dalton; his brothers; Christopher Danforth of Dalton and Eric Danforth of Monterey; his grandparents Shirley & Bernard Beaudin of Lanesborough, his stepmother Karen Lacatell and his stepfather Edward Clark, both of Dalton. He is predeceased by his mother, Paige Beaudin Clark and his grandparents Jo & James Danforth.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for David W. Danforth who passed away October 5, 2016 will be held Saturday from 4 to 6PM at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Bellvue Cemetery in Adams. Memorial donations in memory of Dave may be made to the Brien Center Addiction Treatment Program in care of the funeral home, 890 Main Street, Dalton, MA 01226.
