Obituary for David C. Bliss
David C. Bliss Jr. better known as “Butch” by all who loved him, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2022 in Pittsfield, MA.
He was born in Pittsfield on November 8, 1961 to David Bliss Sr. and Dorothy Baker-Bliss, both deceased.
Butch was a 1979 graduate of Taconic High School and was employed by Berkshire Medical Center holding various positions for 18 years
.
He is survived by the love of his life, Kim Bliss, happily by his side until the end. The loving couple were married on November 8, 2014.
He was “Pops” to his stepchildren, Michelle Weed, Danielle Dolan, Nicholas Burke, and their significant others, Israel Chaparro, Sean Dolan, and Kristina Raftery respectively.
His memory will not be forgotten by his thirteen grandchildren, Jordynne LaCasse, Dylan LaCasse, Jaylin LaCasse, Trystin Dunavin, Mason Burke, Jackson Burke, Makenna Burke, Deslynn Burke, Carina Squires, Dale Burke, Jr., Justin Borawski, Sean Dolan Jr., Cassandra Dolan, and two great-grandchildren, Hayes LaCasse and Stella LaCasse, as well as his beloved “Rocky”, all whom held a very special place in his heart.
Services will be held for close family and friends on Saturday August 6, 2022 at 1:00pm at Dery Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
