Obituary for David Morris Adams

David Morris Adams, 77 of Cheshire, MA, passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2023.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada on July 30, 1946, he was the son of Paul and Helen Shook Adams.

David was educated in Nova Scotia and enlisted in the Royal Canadian Airforce. He had managed and bartended at The Stone Bridge Café, The Elbow Room, and The Country Charm restaurant, from which he retired after 30 years of employment.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and storytelling. He was known for his handlebar mustache, and delicious Manhattans and martinis. David also enjoyed traveling to Canada with his wife, in their VW bus.

He is survived by his step-children, Michael “Mannix” Connors and wife Cheryl, Denise Smith and husband Charles, Anne Marie Killbary and partner Joseph Hogue, and Scott Connors. Six grandchildren, Shenna, Michael, Jessica, Kristen, Adam, and Alyssa, as well as several great-grandchildren. He also leaves his longtime friend and hunting partner, Dennis Hall.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Finnegan Adams on September 25, 2016; his grandmother, Eleanor Shook; and grandson, Christopher Connors.
