Obituary for Daryl E. Scott

Daryl Ernest Scott, 56, of 55 Spring Street, Pittsfield, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at
Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 8, 1957, the son of Sylvia Scott and the late
Marvin R. Scott, he was a graduate of New York schools.
Mr. Scott served with the United States Army from October 1975 until June 1978.
A heavy equipment operator by trade, Mr. Scott was employed by Railex in Schenectady, New York. He had previously worked as a forklift operator for Tyson Foods in North Carolina.
Mr. Scott attended Second Congregational Church.
He enjoyed basketball.
Mr. Scott leaves his wife, the former Constance Eason, whom he married November
11, 2012. He is also survived by his mother, Sylvia Scott, of Rahway, New Jersey; three brothers,
Kenneth Milford of North Carolina, Jason Milford of Florida, and Sheldon Milford of New York;
four sisters, Lonice Stratton of New Jersey, Glenn Scott of North Carolina, JoAnne Smith of
Georgia, Deidre Milford of New Jersey; three sons, Daryl Dequan Littles of Florida, D.J.
Ellington of New Jersey, and Merrick Briggs of New Jersey; two daughters, Africa Scott of
Kansas and Capri Scott of California; as well as grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Daryl Ernest Scott will be held Monday, November 4, at 1:00 p.m.,
at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield with Evangelist Theresa Smith of Victory Temple Church of God in Christ, officiating. Calling hours will precede the service beginning at l2:00 Noon. Burial will be on Tuesday, November 5, at 2:00 p.m., at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Agawam.
