Obituary for Daniel A. Ragazzo
On September 27th, 2021 Daniel Anthony “Rocket” Ragazzo, 71 of 16 Maryland Ave, Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Daniel was born in Yonkers New York on October 25th 1949. The son of the late Dominic Ragazzo and Eleanor Jones. He was veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Army as a Sargent.
Daniel married his devoted wife Lisa Ramos January 21st, 1984. Mr. Ragazzo was employed at GE for 20 years, and The Mass Turnpike Authority for 22 years before he retired.
Dan was an avid sport’s fan, and enjoyed watching the Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and horse racing.
Daniel was always known as the life of the party, and enjoyed spending time with his family, and friends.
Daniel leaves behind his wife Lisa Ragazzo, his 3 children Jacqueline, Marlena (fiancé Ricardo Ramos), and Nicholas Daniel Ragazzo, and 3 Grandchildren Ariana, Amya, and Isaiah Ragazzo. He also leaves behind his sister Angela Dougherty, her husband William, and is predeceased by his sister the late Carol Johnson, and her husband David, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and many friends. He also leaves behind his mother in law Carol Ramos and in-laws Pamela Ramos, Michael Ramos, and Philip and Valerie Hollingworth.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held, WEDNESDAY, October 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. at St. Charles Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St is handling the arrangements.
