Obituary for Daniel M. King

Daniel Morley King, 55, of Pittsfield, died Monday, February 24, 2014, at his home.
Born in Pittsfield on December 15, 1959, a son of William F. and Barbara Morley
King, he educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1977 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He
continued his education as a post-graduate student in the Carpentry Program at Taconic High
School.
Mr. King worked as a carpenter for Restorations, Inc., Jim's Building and Remodeling,
and for his family's business, King Brothers.
He enjoyed playing golf, ice hockey, and billiards, and was a New York Jets and Boston
Red Sox Fan. In his youth, he played Little League Baseball.
Mr. King is survived by three brothers, David W. King and his wife, Denise, of Pittsfield,
Brian F. King of Pittsfield, and Raymond V. King of Southbury, Conn.; a sister, Diane L. King of
Hoboken, New Jersey; his friend and roommate, Alan Lash; as well as a daughter, Lindsey King
of Naples, Florida, and a grandson.
He was pre-deceased by his parents and by a daughter, Shenna King, who died in August 1988.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Calling hours for Daniel Morley King will be held Friday, February 28, from 4:00 to
7:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery in the
Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Brien Center in care
of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
