Obituary for Cynthia Merced

Cynthia Merced, 36, of 240 Onota Street passed away unexpectedly on
Wednesday, February 8, 2017 while traveling in New Jersey. A lifelong Pittsfield resident, she was born in Loring, Maine on July 7, 1980, the daughter of Michael J. Cibelli of Lee and Hediles Lim Grohowski of Pittsfield. She was educated in Pittsfield schools and also attended the Mildred Elly School for Cosmetology. A homemaker, she enjoyed going to the beach, bowling and the movies. Cynthia was always willing to help others. Her greatest joy was following her son's sports activities. She leaves her mother; Hediles Grohowski and her husband Gary of Pittsfield. Her spouse; Desiree Merced of Pittsfield. A son; Dezequiel Merced of Pittsfield and three daughters; Jeraniyah Cibelli, Davielle Merced and Pretti Olivia Norris all of Pittsfield. A brother; Carlo R. Cibelli and his fiancée Donna Lemon of Pittsfield. She also leaves two nephews; Carlo A. Cibelli and Jacob Burdick both of Pittsfield and her goddaughter; Theresa Gillian of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Cynthia Merced, 36, of Pittsfield who passed away on February 8, 2017 will be held Thursday at 9:15 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mark Church celebrated by the Rev. David Aufiero, administrator. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations in memory of Cynthia may be made to the Pittsfield Boy's & Girls Club in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
