Obituary for Cynthia L. Carr

Cynthia L. Carr, 56, of 30 First Street, Pittsfield died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her home. She was born in Pittsfield on July 16, 1958, a daughter of the late Charles E. Carr and Judith Ann White Carr Weslowski. She attended Wahconah Regional High School and was a 1976 graduate of Lee High School. She also was a graduate of the Cosmetology Program at McCann Vocational Technical School in North Adams. Cynthia was a cosmetologist for many years working at Style Loft in Stockbridge and also had owned and operated her own shop known as the Hair Gallery in Pittsfield; she had also worked at many other fine salons.
She enjoyed music, dancing, crossword puzzles, cooking, sewing and painting. She was a kind and intelligent person who had a special love of animals, especially kitty cats.
She leaves many friends and relatives throughout the Berkshires, as well as Eileen Lyons and Shari Somerville and her companion, Kevin C. Scace. She was predeceased by two brothers David and Steven Carr. Calling hours will be Monday, February 16, 2015 from 2 to 4 P.M. at Dery Funeral Home in Pittsfield. Memorials in her memory may be made to Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
