Obituary for Corrine M. D'Hondt

CORINNE MAY D'HONDT, 95, of 168 Brighton Avenue, Pittsfield, died Sunday, June 1, on her 95th birthday, at Sheridan Woods Health Care in Bristol, Connecticut.
She was born in St. David, Maine, on June 1, 1913, the daughter of James J. and
Estelle C. Chase Beaulieu, she moved to Pittsfield in 1925.
Mrs. D'Hondt was a homemaker who had also worked for Right to Life of
Berkshire County for several years.
She was a communicant and active member of St. Mary the Morning Star Church
She was an avid and loyal Boston Red Sox fan, and saw them win both American
League championships. She also enjoyed playing bridge and canasta.
She leaves her husband, Charles F. D'Hondt, whom she married June 28, 1934.
Besides her husband, Mrs. D'Hondt is survived by two daughters, Barbara D.
McCauley, of Bristol, Connecticut, and Mim E. and her husband, Gary Reynolds, of
Farmington, Connecticut; two sons, David W. D'Hondt of Sun City, California, and
Robert A. D'Hondt of San Francisco, California; eight grandchildren and thirteen great
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two sons,
Charles F. D'Hondt, Jr., and John P. D'Hondt.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Committal prayers for CORINNE MAY D'HONDT, who died on Sunday, June
1, will be Saturday, June 7, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum at St.
Joseph Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in
memory of Mrs. D'Hondt may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires or to Vitas
Hospice Services of Middlebury, Connecticut, both in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME,
54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
