Obituary for Copeland A. " “Butch” " Patrick

Copeland “Butch” A. Patrick, 74, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 12, 2017 at home. Born in Pittsfield on April 7, 1943 he was the son of the late Copeland and Catherine Ceasar Patrick. He was educated in local schools and was a 1961 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He also attended BCC.
Butch was employed as a papermaker at Schwitzer – Maudit Paper Company for more than 25 years prior to retirement.
Butch was a former member of St. Stephen’s Church. He was also an avid outdoorsman; who really enjoyed hunting and fishing. Butch was a Chicago Bears Fan and liked watching golf.
He is survived by two sons; Copeland A. Patrick II of Woodlawn, MD and Cory Patrick and his wife Nelia of Framingham, MA; his sister; Ginger Sullivan and her husband Louis of Atlanta, GA; his brother; Franklin M. Patrick of Pittsfield; his sister-in-law; Dorothy Foster of Pittsfield; his three grandchildren; Maceo Patrick, Caleb Patrick and Sohli Patrick; his step-grandson; Jonathan Eaton and many beloved extended family and friends.
Butch was predeceased by his sister; Joan Beamon and his brother; James Williamson.


FUNERAL SERVICE – Funeral Services for Copeland “Butch” A. Patrick who died June 12, 2017 will be held Saturday June 17, 2017 at 1:30p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 BRADFORD ST., PITTSFIELD, celebrated by the Rev. William D. Furey. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 12 to 130p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations in Butch’s memory can be made to Hospicecare in the Berkshires in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 BRADFORD STREET, PITTSFIELD, MA.
