Obituary for Claudine V. Fresia

CLAUDINE VAUGHN FRESIA, 70, of 394 Mohawk Trail, Drury, Massachusetts, formerly of Dalton, died Tuesday, June 2, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield, August 14, 1938, the daughter of Frederick G. and Arlene
E. Bliss Huddy, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Fresia was employed by Berkshire Medical Center as a Switchboard
Operator for 22 years.
She had previously worked as a Teacher's Aide for the Central Berkshire
Regional School District for ten years and at AT&T for four years.
Mrs. Fresia had also been a Crossing Guard and part-time Police Matron for the
Dalton Police Department and was the first Deputy Commander for the Dalton Auxiliary
Police. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church where she sang in the choir. She
took great pride and interest in her Native American (Mohawk) heritage.
She was a master of Reiki and also took tai chi classes, and enjoyed making arts
and crafts. Her greatest love was her grandchildren.
She leaves her husband, Richard Fresia, whom she married February 7, 1959, and
recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.Besides her husband, Mrs. Fresia is survived by two daughters, Bobbi Kickery
and her husband, Rick, of Pittsfield; Rae Ann Cairo and her husband, Brian, of Chandler,
Arizona; and four sons, Ricardo C. Fresia and his wife, Melissa, of Amesbury, Massachusetts, Mark A. Fresia and his wife, Diane, of Pittsfield, Dean J. Fresia and his wife,
Tracy, of Pittsfield, and Stephan Reynolds of Grafton, New York; her nine grandchildren,
John, Jennifer, Brad, Shaun, Travis, Hayley, Tabitha, Logan, and Anita, and three great
grandchildren, Connor, Selena, and Elizabeth.
Over the years, she was "their other mother" to many children and grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of the life of CLAUDINE VAUGHN FRESIA, who died Tuesday,
June 2, will be held Saturday, June 6, at 4:00 p.m., at the home of her son, Mark Fresia,
70 Harwich Avenue, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs.
Fresia may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of DERY-FOLEY
