Obituary for Claire Elizabeth Nowak (Couture)
Claire Elizabeth (Couture) Nowak, 76, passed away on Sunday morning, April 19, 2015,
at her home on Notch Road in Cheshire.
Claire was born in Adams on July 18, 1938, the daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth
(Harrison) Couture. She graduated from Adams Memorial High School in 1958. In her earlier
years, she was employed at the former Adams Rest Home as a nurses' aide.
She married Ted Nowak on October 1, 1971.
Claire is survived by her sisters, June Couture and Joan Couture of Adams; her special
friends, The Balawenders, of Cheshire; and several cousins. She is also survived by her niece,
Jennifer Gregoire, and her nephews, Patrick Nowak and his companion, Laurie Lemaire, and Aaron and Trista Nowak.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Ted, on August 21, 2011, and by her son, Thad,
on November 12, 1972.
FUNERAL NOTICE:
At Claire's request, there will be no funeral services. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Cheshire Fire Department EMS in care of DERY-
CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire.
