Obituary for Christine R. Viscuso
Christine Rose Viscuso, 93, of Pittsfield, MA passed away July 16, 2022 at her home.
Born in Center Moriches, Long Island, New York, she was the daughter of Pasquale and Filomena (Vona) Rutigliano. Christine was educated at Saint John R.C. School and Center Moriches High School.
Mrs. Viscuso was employed by W.T. Grant and England Brothers' Department Store. She was a communicant of Saint Mark Church and of the former Saint Francis Catholic Church of Pittsfield.
She enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her loving family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas Viscuso, whom she married on July 8, 1951; her sister, Crescenza Rutigliano, and brother, Michael Rutigliano.
Survivors include her sister Mary Martello, sister Barbara Nichols, daughter Jennieann Ray, daughter Patricia Viscuso, son Vincent Viscuso and wife Ann Marie, son Joseph Viscuso and wife Susan, son Thomas Viscuso, grandchildren, Kenneth Ray, Kristen Gomez and husband Jorge, Emily Viscuso, Michael Viscuso, great-grandchildren, Jared Gomez, Mateo Gomez, and Isabella Gomez.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held, Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Church, celebrated by Rev. Christopher Fedoryshyn, Pastor. Burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery. Calling hours precede the service from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
