Obituary for Christine L. French

CHRISTINE LYNN VICTORIA FRENCH, 58, of 83 Summer Street, Lanesborough, died Tuesday, February 10, at Berkshire Medical Center after being stricken
at her home from an apparent heart attack.
Born in Pittsfield, October 7, 1950, a daughter of the late Robert W. and
Margaret Godfrey Burnick, she attended St. Charles Elementary School and was a 1968
graduate of St. Joseph Central High School.
At the time of her death, Mrs. French was employed by Berkshire
Communicators, Inc., as the Operations Manager for over twenty-five years.
She was a communicant of the former North American Martyrs Church.
A creative and artistic person, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and also
enjoyed reading and cooking. She was the proud grandmother of four.
She leaves her husband, Dale S. French, whom she married January 12, 1973, in
St. Charles Church.
Besides her husband, Mrs. French is survived by a son, Eric S. French of Lanesborough; two daughters, Stacy J. Roosa and her husband, Kevin of Lanesborough; Kari
L. Proskin and her husband, Daniel, of Pittsfield; two brothers, Robert W. Burnick, Jr., and his wife, Geraldine, of Pittsfield; Michael W. Burnick and his wife, Donna, of
Tequesta, Florida; a sister, Barbara St. Onge and her husband, Albert, of Florence,
Massachusetts, and Frances Miller and her husband, Joseph, of Lenox; her mother,
Marita Burke Burnick who raised her after the death of her own mother; and four
grandchildren, Bailey S. Roosa, Tessa M. Roosa, Kalie French, and Grace Proskin.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for CHRISTINE LYNN VICTORIA FRENCH, who died
Tuesday, February 10, will be Friday, February 13, at 9:15 a.m., from DERY
FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles
Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be today,
from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in
Memory of Mrs. French may be made to the American Heart Association in care of
the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
