Obituary for Charles R. Zank

Mr. Charles Robert Zank, 58, of 5 Williamstown Road, Pontoosuc Condominiums, Lanesboro, Ma. died Saturday at his home. He has resided in Lanesboro, Ma. for the past 6 months prior to that he had lived in Pittsfield, Ma. Born on November 11, 1947 in Monticello, New York a son of Ann Rosen Zank of New Haven, Conn. and the late William Zank. He attended Monticello, N.Y. Schools and was a 1965 graduate of Monticello High School. He was a 1971 graduate of the University of New Paltz, New Paltz, New York and a 1995 graduate of Greenfield Community College Nursing Program where he became a registered nurse. For the past 5 months he had been employed as a RN for North Adams Regional Hospital, prior to that he had been a RN at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield for 7 years. He had also worked at Berkshire Medical Center. Prior to his nursing career he had been an insurance agent for New York Life and Mass Mutual Insurance also for Mass Mutual he worked as a trainer of agents. He enjoyed boating and Skiing and also was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying. Besides his Mother of New Haven, Ct. he leaves two sons, Steven P. Zank of Greenfield, Ma. and William T. Zank of Charlemont, Ma. A Sister, Susan C. Morse of Newtown, Conn. And Two Grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Charles R. Zank will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorials in his memory may be made to the Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association or Hospice Care of the Berkshires, both in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St. which is handling arrangements. Mr. Zank is lovingly survived by two grandchildren Shyla Marie Zank and Megan Elizabeth Zank, a nephew Joshua Morse and a niece Jessica Morse and by his brother in law, Neil Morse.
