Obituary for Charles Alden "Chick" Whitney

Charles "Chick" Alden Whitney, 61, of 25 Ingalls Crossing, Cheshire, died
Saturday, December 15, 2012, at his home.
Born in Pittsfield on March 23, 1951, a son of Charles B. and Fronie Jones
Whitney, he was a graduate of Adams Memorial High School and attended Bryant
College. Mr. Whitney was a business owner in the automotive industry for more than
thirty five years. He had also worked for Robert Lyon Painting Contractor and had worked on the Whitney Dairy Farm, as well.
He was both a Red Sox and Patriots fan, and enjoyed music, as well.
He loved spending time with friends on the family farm.
He leaves his former wife, Linda Chesbro.
Mr. Whitney is also survived by a son, Samuel Whitney and his wife, Tara, of
Pittsfield; three brothers, Peter Whitney and his wife, Eileen, of Cheshire, Michael
Whitney and his wife, Carolyn, of Cheshire, and Jay Whitney of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Charles "Chick" Alden Whitney will be held Friday, December 21, at 10:00 a.m., at DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. William D. Furey officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Whitney may be made to the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department in care of the Funeral Home, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire.
