Obituary for Charles G. Smith
Charles Gerard Smith, 62, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2023.
Born in Pittsfield on May 12, 1961, he was the son of Patricia Reynolds and the late Richard G. Smith.
He was a 1979 graduate of Taconic High School. Mr. Smith married the former Donna Degnan on July 1, 1983.
He was a machine operator for many years at Neenah Paper Company.
Charles enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels vintage cars, watching his favorite football team the Minnesota Vikings, dining out with his family, spending time with his granddaughters, and listening to Christmas music no matter the season.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Smith of Pittsfield; His mother, Patricia Reynolds and husband George of Pittsfield; his brothers, Michael Smith of Dalton and Richard Smith of Chicopee. He also leaves his children, Jennifer and Jamie Smith of Pittsfield. Mr. Smith also leaves his three beloved grandchildren, Ashley Barnes, Anastasia and Karma McGirt.
Charles will dearly missed by his family and friends.
