Obituary for Charles W. "Bill" Fitch
Charles W. Fitch (Bill), 92, of Dalton, MA, passed away December 4, 2021.
Bill was born on May 8, 1929 in Hartford, CT to Charles A. and Elizabeth Fitch.
He married the former Alice Elsonsohn in 1951. They shared 70 wonderful years together.
Bill graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1946. He joined the Navy in 1947 where he studied electronics. After being honorably discharged, he went to work for General Electric Ordnance Naval Department, retiring in 1985 as Documentation Branch Head.
He enjoyed making wine, was an avid New England Patriots Fan and loved using his laptop computer.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Fitch of Dalton, son, Brian Fitch and his wife Mary of Dalton, daughter, Kathleen Bordeau and her husband Armond of Apopka, FL. Two grandchildren, Jason Bordeau and his wife Jackie and Sara Fitch. As well as two great-grandchildren, Devon and Jacob Bordeau.
He was predeceased by a son, Charles Fitch, Jr., in 2006.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
