Obituary for Celia M. Patience

CELIA MADELINE PATIENCE, 99, of 99 Church Lane, Richmond, died Monday afternoon at her home.
Born in West Thompson, Connecticut, the daughter of Thomas and Delia Wate Cregan, she attended schools in Connecticut and elsewhere throughout New England.Mrs. Patience was a homemaker. At one-time she served as a mid-wife. She
had worked at the former Wendell Sheraton Hotel and cleaned houses.She was a former communicant of St. Patrick Church in West Stockbridge. In 2002, she received the Golden Cane award from the Town of Richmond. She enjoyed gardening and bingo. Her greatest love was time with her family. Mrs. Patience is survived by two daughters, Patricia Crawford of Richmond and Shirley Sokolowski of Pittsfield. She was pre-deceased by her son, Robert White.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for CELIA MADELINE PATIENCE, who died Monday, June 5,
will be Friday, June 9, at 12:00 Noon at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, Pastor of St. Patrick Church, West Stockbridge, officiating. Burial will be follow in Fairview Cemetery, Dalton. Calling hours will be Friday
beginning at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Patience
may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires or to Elder Services of Berkshire County
in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.Mrs. Patience, remembered as "everyone's nan", leaves her four grandchildren, Reanne Mathews, Robert White, Jr., Sandra Crawford Rowlett, and Pam Crawford
Burno; and seven great grandchildren, Katherine Crawford, Aileen Burno, Heather
Burno, Jamie Mathews, Ryan Lundergan, Douglas White, and Jennifer White. She
was pre-deceased by a grandson, Scott Crawford.
