Obituary for Cecile S. Clark

Cecile S. Clark, "the woman with the beautiful smile", 89, formerly of Cole Avenue and Melbourne Place, Pittsfield, died peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Salem, MA, on January 9, 1926, a daughter of Donat and Aldea Savoie St. Pierre, she was a 1945 graduate of St Joseph's High School.
She worked a short time for General Electric Company and for seventeen years she was a library aide in Pittsfield Public Schools.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, and formerly a proud parishioner of Notre Dame Church and a member of its Ladies of St. Anne. Her family gives credit to her great faith and many prayers, especially the Rosary, for innumerable positive outcomes to difficult situations.
She was a member of the Pittsfield Squares, the Pontoosuc Country Club, and the Ralph Froio Senior Center. Cecile loved square dancing, golfing, playing cards, and traveling. She cherished all the good times with family and friends.
She leaves her husband of 65 years George D. Clark, whom she married on July 29, 1950.
She is also survived by a daughter, Deborah C. Bishop of Weatogue, CT; two sons, G. Peter Clark and his wife, Beth, of Portland, CT, and Mark F. Clark and his wife, Lucy, of Tolland, CT; a sister, Joan Chandler, and a brother, Armand St. Pierre, both of Laconia, NH; four grandchildren, Brett and Brian Bishop, Anton and Shura Clark.
She was pre-deceased by a sister, Beatrice Papirio.
Her family would like to thank Unit 5 at Hillcrest Commons and HospiceCare in The Berkshires for their kind and loving care.
